If you need a good carpet cleaner DON'T get this one

Pros: Does a good job cleaning. Gets the dirt out
Cons: Cheap plastic parts that won't hold up to heavy use
The Bottom Line: Don't bother with this Bissel carpet cleaner if you want something you can keep for several years. It's cheap plastic construction is designed for looks only

Review: I bought my Bissell ProHeat Upright Deep Cleaner thinking I would use it for the occasional rug or upholstery that gets dirty around the house.
The product works just as advertised....for the first few months. Then things start breaking apart...

Pros: Solution smells great, does a fantastic job cleaning.
Cons: Overall, it's just poorly-designed.
The Bottom Line: I'd keep looking, if I were you.

Review: You can't always just go with the most-trusted name, I guess. This cleaner worked very well at first, but has developed some problems over the last year and a half- and the warranty only covers it for a year.
