Creative's latest Flash memory based player, the Zen Nano Plus, is built on the successful MuVo Micro N200 blueprint. The player includes functions for direct coding, which allows the converting of MP3 files through the line-In connector. In this way, Nano Plus is able to receive signals from external sources like Hi-Fi systems or Home Cinemas. With the incredibly thin design you'll never even notice you're wearing it, but you will notice the amazing, skip free, audio quality when you're listening to your MP3 and WMA music. 512MB player holds up to 16 hours WMA or 8 hours MP3 music. With a built-in mic, Zen Nano Plus is perfect for recording quick notes or lectures and also has a FM radio you can tune in to and record all your favorite radio shows.

Pros: Size, price, battery life, ease of use
Cons: Sound quality not perfect, for for the size and price I'm not complaining.
The Bottom Line: Buy it because of the price, size, and ease-of-use. Use it because it is a slick little unit.

Review: I got notice of this during the pre-Christmas 5-hour sales that Circuit City was running. Although I wasn't planning to get anything like this, I had to snag one for my 13-year-old son. It was $30 off the normal price, which brought it to $70.

Cons: Haven't found any yet. Maybe you want 1 gb version (read review)

Pros: Extremely small; more-than-adequate capacity; uses standard rechargeable batteries; elegant functionality
Cons: Included applications are unnecessary; earbuds are only passable; no case included
The Bottom Line: The ZEN Nano has proven to be an outstanding player. You will need to buy rechargeable batteries and a case, though.
