Great GPS for work

The Bottom Line: If you need something for just hiking, look at the Etrex models/

Pros: Accurate
Great maps for boating
Cons: Terrible maps.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I have used this sparingly for the last two years. I find its use in boating in the island of the Carribean to be very good. It is very accurate.

My only complaint is the extra cost of the maps and the fact that routing on the provided...

Super accurate device - But lousy TOPO map. Ouch$$!

Pros: Very accurate GPS location and tracking. Floats. Standard batteries. Good PC software.
Cons: Expensive. Menu system hard to learn. Separately purchased Topo map is way outdated.
The Bottom Line: Great all-around choice for hiking, boating, driving, etc. Super accurate and tracks very well in heavy cover and moving vehicles. Topo map is not wonderful. You'll need City software too.

Review: Ouch. I just plunked down $550 for my new Garmin GPS receiver and the North America Topographical Map CDROM.
And I'm not done yet. I likely will have to purchase the Inland Lakes, Bluechart Atlantic, and a North America City map.
