Pros: Compact, simple design and simple to use, easy to clean, durable.
Cons: Only 1 quart (plus some if you add milk to top of cylinder), heavy cylinder

Pros: East of use, ease of clean-up, moderate cost, great end-result.
Cons: Small. Can make only 1 quart of frozen treat at a time.

Review: I bought my Donvier ice cream maker 15 years ago and just dug it out again this past weekend. It is so easy to use, and the results are so good, I have to recommend the product. There is no reason to spend hundreds of dollars on electric machines...
