Reprenant le même design que son grand frère, il arbore deux optiques Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon et deux capteurs CCD, l’un de 6,1 et l’autre de 6,36 millions de pixels. Alors que l’accent était mis sur le grand angle avec le v570 et la deuxième optique fixe 23 mm, Kodak met ici un point d’orgue sur un zoom 10 x puisqu’il propose une optique 38-114 mm à ouverture maximale F3.9-4.4 et une deuxième optique 130-380 mm F4.8.
