D300 vs D2x

by  ognek ,  Oct 23, 2008
9 out of 9 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Good price, clean high iso images, live view and fast AF
Cons: No real ISO 100, expensive to go 8fps.
The Bottom Line: Currently Nikon's best cropped sensor body.

by  sweeper ,  Jun 9, 2008
40 out of 40 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Ultimately capable with a feature set approaching that of the Pro D3.
Cons: Some mechanical design misses that detract from an otherwise superb camera.
The Bottom Line: With a fabulous feature set, mostly solid mechanical design, the D300 is the ultimate advanced amateur camera on the market today.
This reviewer recommends this product.

by  jvandegr ,  Dec 15, 2007
29 out of 29 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Low noise at high ISO, improved dynamic range, professional feature set, very responsive.
Cons: Camera failures due to live view mode and poor lens mount, no in-camera image stabilization.
The Bottom Line: Conditionally recommended - great features and image quality, but still some questionable reliability, outdated live view mode, and no in-camera image stabilization,
