Pretty Good, But Not Great.

Pros: Affordable, HD-resolution, good low-light sensitivity, interchangeable lens, CF capability, four channels of audio.
Cons: Hidden costs, lots of grain, possible manufacturing issues, audio-to-computer output needs work.
The Bottom Line: Buy this camera if you can't afford anything better.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: First of all, this camcorder is "HDV" not "DV," meaning that it captures video at High-Definition resolution, but with a very high compression rate (i.e. low quality).
