Grand Turismo 4

Gran Turismo 4 is a great game for gamers who fantasize about racing with their own dream car. I love the graphics and fine details of the cars and courses. All of the courses are based on real ones all over the world, my favorite is the Cote D’Azur, a street circuit in Monaco. The course’s narrow road and its sharp corners make it a challenging, but fun course to race on.
I love the soundtrack of Gran Turismo because the music gave me the “rush feeling” to race. There are over fifty songs to choose from for a race. My favorite song is “What to Believe” by Daiki Kasho.
The player can choose to play in the arcade mode or Gran Turismo Mode. In the arcade mode, the player can race against the computers, have a two player showdown, or try to improve their time on the time trial mode. In Gran Turismo Mode, the player starts out by purchasing a used car. Practically, the player starts out small by racing in the Beginner Events. The player will need to go to the license center and pass all of tests before obtaining a specific license to race in other courses. The player can also choose to tune-up their car. The money the player wins from the events are used to upgrade the car’s engine, suspension, brakes, horsepower, and tires.
Gran Turismo is indeed a challenging game because it emphasizes on real-life simulation. This game is perfect for racers who want something realistic. I don’t recommend this game to people who don’t want to learn the real concept of racing. For me, I started out slow because I knew nothing about the terms and techniques of real racing, but I was patient enough to learn what soft, medium, and hard tires are. I also learned how to race with a car that is manual, the game helped me understand the timing of braking and shifting. As the player gets more familiar with the concept of Gran Turismo, the game will be fun and enjoyable.
