Cons: Battery time and usage
The Bottom Line: If you to play games in color, buy the popular game boy color.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Game boy is great to bring along for a long trip or just for fun. There are thousands of games for it and it is displayed in color. You can buy additional stuff such as a camera, printer and a link cable to take photos, print images, or hook up to...

Pros: Screen is easier to see, doesn't guzzle batteries, tons of games, compact
Cons: you have to play in pretty bright light to see the screen
The Bottom Line: This system is a fun alternative to regular board games etc and makes a great gift for anyone, although I think that kids aged 8-20 may like it the most.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I've had a gameboy original forever. It's a big clunky gray thing with hard-to-see graphics and a VERY easily scratched screen. A year or so ago I kept seeing ads for a gameboy color, so I packed away my old gameboy and used up all my babysitting...

Pros: Huge selection of games
Cons: Quality is very low, many games for young kids (10 & under)
The Bottom Line: Game Boy Color offers many games for young children, and it's quality is below average.

Review: I received a Game Boy Color as a gift a year ago, but I've hardly even picked it up at all. The Game Boy Color was certainly an advance in video gaming technology when it first came out, but I would not recommend getting it now. First of all, most...

Pros: Portable, OK Colours
Cons: Expensive, Few good games, No backlight
The Bottom Line: Since it is the only portable system on the market, besides the advance, it is only worth your money if you really want the games.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Before I start my opinion, i'd just like to say one thing. I'm only recommending the game boy colour because it is the only portable system you can by, besides the game boy advance which just came out. I would strongly recommend the NeoGeo pocket,...

Pros: Portable; Color screen adds a tad more realism; Supplied by new games.
Cons: Not much improved from the first or second version of its genre.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for something more than an NES mini-rebirth, check out the Game Gear. The GBC is only for young kids, because its main audience are the pokemaniacs.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Just as I suspected, this one is just as good as the original that came out way back in the late 80's. The color screen does not add much more realism than the black and white version, so the difference is minimal. About the only thing better for...
