Professional quality photographs from a top-of-the-line amateur camera

Date of Review:  Dec 29, 2003
The Bottom Line: Digital camera with all the bells and whistles of a professional camera, but minus the pricetag. If this is what you're looking for, you've found it.
Review: Digital cameras are now very easy to find and their prices range from cheap to expensive. If you don't know what you are really interested in when you begin your search for a camera, you are likely to choose whichever one sounds the best at the time...

Date of Review:  Mar 7, 2004
The Bottom Line: lense takes great picts at long range thanks to the stabilized lense, it takes high quality crystal clear picts--I'm a perfectionast, I highly recomend this camera!
Review: I looked at ALL othe digital camera out there, took each Ultra zoom camera home and tested them myself in all light conditions (I'm a bit of a perfectionist) and this one is wwwaaayyyyyy better then the-- Olympus C750. (The Lumix has faster shutter...

Amazing zoom, decent digital camera

Date of Review:  Feb 6, 2004
The Bottom Line: A great camera that especially shines when using the big zoom for outdoor nature shots.
Review: I've used this camera for a couple of weeks now (got it mid-January '04) and feel I've gotten to know it fairly well after taking about 700 photos during our Disney World trip. I bought this camera primarily for the image stabilized 12x Zoom lens...

Fun and versatile

Date of Review:  May 13, 2004
Review: This camera reminds me of my Nikon SLR which was my mainstay for years. After some practice, I can take pictures any time, and virtually anyplace. The stabilization feature allows me to photograph at a shutter speed as low as 1/4 second (inside a...

Hard to capture toddlers in action with this camera, but great for priceless closeups

Date of Review:  Dec 16, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for high quality and control, this is a great camera. Easy to learn for someone "upgrading" from a simple point and click.
Review: I bought this camera to replace a 3 year old Sony Cybershot, which I still love. But I felt I needed higher resolution/quality pictures of my children growing up.

After the first few weeks, I am slowly getting used to this camera. It's not...

Very good camera but necessarily compromised

Date of Review:  Jan 5, 2004
The Bottom Line: Best point and shoot in the market. No SLR killer. Proprietary battery not a problem - available for $20 in Ebay.
Review: I've owned a variety of cameras, including the Lumix FZ1. It was the wondeful FZ1 that compelled me to purchase the FZ10 as soon as I could. I had never even seen one before I popped $550 on one over the internet.
Since many people, websites...

Almost, but not quite, a true professional's camera

Date of Review:  Apr 28, 2004
The Bottom Line: You really should be an accomplished 35mm shooter before you spend $500 on a camera this good.
Review: This camera is so complex, with so many features, you need to visit Steve's Digicams website to get the full impact of everything this camera has. The web address for Steve's review of this camera is:

Pray it doesn't break on holidays!

Date of Review:  Aug 7, 2004

A fantastic camera and well worth the price!

Date of Review:  Aug 16, 2009
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Lumix Digital camera as a step up from your first camera Takes great pictures, is easy to use and the price is just right.
Review: When I purchased this product I had been looking at digital cameras for a very long time, I was comparing prices and features for at least six months before I decided to actually purchase a gift for myself.
